Preserve the Local Culture & Arts Scene!

Verlocal is honored to partner with San Francisco Heritage to present to you: Localize – Music, Art & Heritage, a benefit concert that collectively fosters homegrown trade musicians, artists, and legacy businesses.

Held at the 1886 Haas-Lilienthal House, it is the only Queen Anne Victorian-era residence that is opened to the public today. Watch performances from local artists, join a silent auction to engage in bids on local experiences & gifts, and join a MakeArt table hosted by the Museum of Craft and Design– it will be a lively evening with music, art, and libations curated from local breweries and wineries! All proceeds will benefit the maintenance and restoration of Haas-Lilienthal House and support Heritage free Heritage award-winning education programs.

Joshua McClain is a progressive cellist who loops his sound live on stage to create multi-layered soundscapes—exploring rock, blues, and electronic styles. While classically trained, McClain has evolved his style into an unbridled, mesmerizing sound experience—all his own. A multi-talented musician and singer/songwriter, McClain also plays the guitar, baritone ukulele and other instruments, and often works them into his sets and songs.

Dagmar

Dagmar is an indie classical, harmony driven band currently based out of San Francisco. A new music project with history, Gemma Cohen (vocals, bass) and Miranda Mallard (vocals, keyboard, guitar) are Dagmar’s core. Gemma and Miranda create original music while rocking their curly manes and singing from the depths of their souls. Harmonies continue to be a staple for this duo along with influences ranging from Phillip Glass to the Fleet Foxes. Dagmar’s sound is raw, challenging, a vulnerable vocal driven exposition of Medieval harmonies and uncrumpled diaries.
